Can I scan any part of the body with TE Air?
Yes. TE Air is an all-purpose handheld probe suitable for: Abdominal,MSK,Vascular,Thyroid,Testicular,Lung,Cardiac.

What does it mean by "whole-body" probe?
Though the TE Air e5m appears to have a linear footprint, depending on the preset you choose, this handheld is powered by Mindray’s Matrix Thin Slice technology, which provides broader frequency bandwidth compared to traditional transducers. The transducer will switch between linear and convex settings to scan head to toe without the need to switch transducers.
What scanning modes are supported?
The TE Air e5M supports B-mode, M-mode, Color Doppler, Power Doppler, Pulsed Wave Doppler, and Tissue Doppler (TDI). It also includes advanced features like iClear, iTouch+, iNeedle, Smart Bladder, VA Grid, Smart Calc, iWorks workflow protocols, and iScanHelper tutorials.
How do I connect the TE Air to my phone or tablet?
The TE Air connects wirelessly to you tablet/smartphone via the Free TE Air app, available for iOS and Android. Simply download the app, power on the probe, and connect, no cables required.
Do you need Wi-Fi connection to scan?
No, the probe is its own hotspot and connects direct to your phone or tablet (which is crucial in urgent, mobile critical care settings, such as on helicopters and ambulances).
What frequency does TE Air operate at?
TE Air operates at an average frequency of 5 MHz, with automatic frequency variation depending on the selected clinical application to optimise image quality.
How long does the battery last?
You can scan continuously for up to 90 minutes on a full charge.
The probe recharges to 90% in approximately 30 minutes, minimising downtime.
How long does it take to charge the probe?
The TE Air can be charged with its USB Magnetic Transducer Charging Cable or via the Air Capsule. Using fast cable charging, the probe charges from 0 to 90% in about 35 minutes.
Can I share and store data?
Definetly! The TE Air e5M supports seamless data sharing. Images and cine loops can be exported in standard formats (JPG and MP4), and it integrates with DICOM 3.0 (Store, Media Exchange, Worklist); as well as third-party solutions. Data encryption is built in, with no subscriptions, locked features, or cloud dependence.
Is it waterproof?
The TE Air e5MSystem features IP68 level waterproof and dustproof design and can withstand complete immersion with compatible disinfectants. Please refer to the complete disinfection manual for more details.
